After a six-day rally, NEPSE drops 27.32 points, as turnover reaches a three-year high of Rs. 16.20 Arba.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index lost 27.32 points, or 1.06%, from the close of the previous trading day, closing at 2,536.11 levels. The index increased by a massive 75.33 points yesterday.


The index opened the trading day at 2,573.23 points, fell to an intraday low of 2,513.43 points, and then reached its highest point of 2,600.41 points before finishing at that level. This oscillation shows that the market tried to close above the 2,600 resistance zone, but it was unable to do so. Whether the index breaks through or pulls back from this resistance zone will be decided by the upcoming trading sessions.

A total of 188,865 transactions involving 311 scrips were made during the session. With 40,747,226 shares exchanged, there was a significant turnover of Rs. 16.20 Arba. With a float market capitalisation of Rs. 13.83 Kharba, the market capitalisation was stated to be Rs. 40.24 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL), which closed at Rs. 663.80 after reaching a valuation of Rs. 36.07 crores, led the market in turnover.
